Chocolate Covered Oreo Balls

  • Mixing Bowl & Spoon For combining Oreo crumbs and vegan cream cheese.
  • Baking sheet For placing the Oreo balls before chilling and after dipping.
  • Parchment Paper Prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier.
  • Microwave-Safe Bowl or Double Boiler For melting the vegan chocolate chips and coconut oil.
  • Fork, Skewer or Dipping Tool For dipping the Oreo balls into the melted chocolate.
  • Refrigetator For chilling the Oreo balls and setting the chocolate coating.

Ingredients
  

  • 36 Oreo cookies 1 standard package
  • 8 oz vegan cream cheese 1 package
  • 2 cups vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Sprinkles optional, for decoration

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oreo Mixture:

  • Place 1 Package Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  • Pulse until the cookies are finely crushed into crumbs.
  • Alternatively, place the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Mix with Cream Cheese:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with 8 oz vegan cream cheese.
  • Mix thoroughly until a smooth, uniform dough forms.

Form the Balls:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet.

Chill the Balls:

  • Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Coating:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 cups vegan chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Alternatively, melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler on the stovetop.

Dip the Oreo Balls:

  • Remove the chilled Oreo balls from the refrigerator.
  • Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place the coated balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Decorate (Optional):

  • If using sprinkles, sprinkle them over the chocolate-coated Oreo balls before the chocolate sets.

Set the Chocolate:

  • Refrigerate the coated Oreo balls for at least 15 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.

Serve:

  • Transfer the Oreo balls to a serving plate.
