15-Minute Falafel Bowl Recipe

This Mediterranean Falafel Bowl is a nourishing and satisfying dish that brings together crispy falafel, fresh vegetables, and creamy Mediterranean spreads like hummus and tzatziki. Equipment

  • 1 Serving bowl medium
  • 1 Small bowls for spreads
  • 1 Knife and cutting board

Ingredients
  

Base & Protein:

  • 5 pieces Falafels pre-made or frozen homemade
  • ½ cup Cooked brown rice

Fresh Vegetables:

  • ¼ cup Sheppard salad diced tomatoes cucumbers, red onion
  • 1 cup Spring mix

Toppings & Spreads:

  • ¼ cup Kalamata olives pitted and halved
  • 1 tbs Roasted red pepper spread
  • 1 tbs Hummus
  • 1 tbs Tzatziki
  • Hot sauce to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base:

  • Warm the falafels in the oven or skillet according to package or homemade recipe directions. Fluff the cooked brown rice and spoon it into the bottom of a serving bowl.
    5 pieces Falafels, ½ cup Cooked brown rice

Assemble the Fresh Layers:

  • Add the spring mix and Sheppard salad over the rice, creating a vibrant, colorful bed for the falafel.
    ¼ cup Sheppard salad diced tomatoes, 1 cup Spring mix

Layer the Falafel and Toppings:

  • Place the warm falafels on top of the salad base. Add Kalamata olives and dollops of roasted red pepper spread, hummus, and tzatziki.
    ¼ cup Kalamata olives, 1 tbs Roasted red pepper spread, 1 tbs Hummus, 1 tbs Tzatziki

Finish with Heat and Serve:

  • Drizzle with your favorite hot sauce for a spicy kick. Serve immediately while falafels are warm.
