Clove Oil for Tooth Pain Relief

Ingredients:

  • Whole cloves
  • Coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Start by grinding a small handful of whole cloves in a mortar and pestle to release their essential oils.
  2. Add the ground cloves to a small jar and mix in enough coconut oil to cover the cloves completely.
  3. Let the mixture sit for a few hours or overnight to allow the coconut oil to infuse with the clove oil.
  4. Use a small amount of the mixture to apply directly to the affected tooth or gum area as needed.

To use this blend, simply take a small amount of the mixture and apply it directly to the affected area with a cotton swab or your cleaned finger. You can also use the mixture as a daily mouthwash by swishing a spoonful around your mouth for a few minutes before spitting it out. Or you can even bite on the cloves gently themselves to release their essential oils and healing properties into you. Bite down and lightly chew or keep tucked near your infected or painful area to help reduce inflammation.

This absolutely saved me personally from getting emergency treatment this year. I had a cavity from when I was a kid that fell out and I ended up eventually needed either a root canal or it extracted but my dentist was away and couldn’t see me for over a week and my pain kept getting worse every day. Luckily I remembered reading about clove oil and I had already been oil pulling and learned about those benefits from Ayruverdic medicine and decided to make this remedy to try and help relieve my pain until I could see my dentist.

Clove oil has natural analgesic and antiseptic properties that can help to reduce tooth pain and fight off infection.

Coconut oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help to soothe and heal the gums.

In Ayurvedic medicine, clove and coconut oil are both valued for their ability to promote oral health and support overall well-being.

As with any natural remedy, it’s important to remember that this blend is not a substitute for proper dental care. If you have persistent tooth pain or other oral health issues, it’s important to see a dentist to determine the underlying cause and get appropriate treatment. This is not a replacement for dental care, but a home remedy to help you combat the pain until you can seek professional help.
